Parking Meter Fees to DOUBLE Under Privatization

    Parking shouldn't be affordable in the core of the city. It should be sparse and expensive. Encourage more people to use public trans, bicycles and their feet.

    Those of us who live more than three miles from the nearest bus stop beg to differ.

    So, bhorg, your contention is that only those who live in the "core of a city" should have bus service, not the rest of those within the city limits?

    How in the world did you come to that conclusion? Everyone should have access to public transit, but if you live more than 3 miles from a bus stop, parking isn't an issue. Indy doesn't have a parking problem, it has a lazy problem.

    My only choice for going downtown is driving, so OF COURSE parking is an issue!
