Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard is calling for more government streamlining, under an initiative he is calling Unigov 2.0, reports Inside INdiana Business.
Ballard says the plan is designed to reform fire service, emergency communications, property tax administration and poor relief. the mayor also says he would like to manage community corrections, health and hospital and IndyGo more like city departments, where leaders are appointed by the mayor and subject to city council approval.
