There are a record number of students at Indiana University-Purdue University in Indianapolis this semester, compared to previous Spring semesters. And they are taking a record number of credit hours.
Some 29,197 students are at IUPUI this Spring semester, taking 333,872 credit hours. The previous Spring semester headcount record was set in 2009, when there were 29,126 students. In 2010, there were 29,000 students at IUPUI in the Spring semester.
The number of credit hours this semester marks the sixth consecutive year in which a new Spring semester credit hour record was set, rising 1.9 percent over Spring 2010, when students took 327,612 credit hours.
