A state senator in Indiana introduced a bill on Thursday [3 January] that would give public school districts the authority to mandate daily recitations of the Lord’s Prayer in public classrooms. (Read more here.)
Why waste taxpayer money and time with an obviously unconstitutional piece of legislation?
Why do we keep electing folks like Dennis Krause to the Indiana legislature?
Hoosier hicks, indeed!

Virtually every state in the country has measures like this introduced. Just because something is introduced doesn't mean it's going anywhere. Indiana legislators are no different from legislators in other states.
Kruse and many others in the General Assembly suffer from deficient awareness of constitutional law.
Another bill introduced would have the state make loans for construction projects that utilize American-made steel products. Yet Indiana's constitution prohibits the state from making loans.
"No different"?
Which brings us back to the original question: why do we keep electing folks like Dennis Krause to the Indiana legislature?
We could at least vote for someone with intelligence and commonsense!
