Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard has announced a partnership to implement a community school model in two city schools, reports Inside INdiana Business.
Indianapolis will invest $180,000 during 2009 and the United Way of Central Indiana will coordinate the community school programming. The model is being introduced at the Challenge Foundation Academy, which is a mayor-sponsored charter school and Lynwood Elementary School.
